What's your proficiency in jp? cool

Honest to god I wish I could say like a flat N1-5 number like that but since I'm self taught and went around jumping with my learning/vocab it's very here and there. I found that to be quicker because I have words and grammar I can make connections with and I feel like that's going to be the case for a lot of learners. I can hold conversations alright, as much as i usually conversate in person in English I can do the same in Japanese. I can watch television (I like those daytime tv/reality shows more than anything since I don't watch anime really) and movies and listen in general better than i can speak, of course. I know with a lot of people their goal is something like to watch Sub / have audio only Japanese and be able to understand it fully but given the nature of the language even native speakers tend not to do that. I believe. (henceforth podcasts don't have a huge grip there like anywhere else). Sorry for the long answer!
